THE CONJUGATE CAM
The strength of a conjugate cam shedding is its running mode. At the maximum shed opening, the warp will go through the stages of speeding up, pause, and speeding up, helping to avoid warp breakage caused by high tension during high-speed operation.
Meanwhile, during the operation of wide rapier looms, the cam shedding mechanism provides a sufficient period of clear shed opening. This supports the gripper and tape with enough time to move out of the warp, preventing warp breakage while the gripper returns.
